El Coto Crianza Rioja 2003

Much, much better than the last Rioja I tasted.

Beautiful, light red color with cherries and spices on the nose. The spices continued on the palate with a nice touch of acidity suggesting this wine would be a great companion to a meal. Two and a half stars out of five, and a great value at $14 a bottle.

I have just come back from El Coto's vineyards. I went with my wine rep.
I have been selling El Coto wines in my shop for years however, I have now closed my high street wine merchant and now sell wine on the web.
El Coto Rioja Crianza is a very popular. I think Coto Real Reserva, less well known, is their best wine.
Coto De Imaz Rioja Gran Reserva is definately the best seller for us. We sell tons of cases.
